Home Telemarketing: Fact Or Fiction?
Many classified ads contain job advertisements promising that telemarketers who work from home make as much or more money as those who work in a call center. There are even some that claim earning potentials of thousands in the first week. It's only smart to be skeptical of such claims, but are there really work from home telemarketing jobs?
Actually there are such jobs. For many people a work from home telemarketing job is a great way to make money, if coupled with quality products and support. However, these jobs are not in great abundance. The quality work from home jobs are not easy to find and must be sorted out of the vast majority of undesirable clones. Those who want to find this line of work may have to spend significant time and effort searching for the few legitimate opportunities.
The Six Best Jobs for Working At Home
Every day I get email asking me how to find legitimate work-at-home jobs. I have to say this always baffles me because every week I wade through thousands of jobs to find a select few to post in my weekly newsletter. The problem I believe is that people look for the wrong jobs in the wrong places. They often limit themselves to jobs like "typing" or "data entry" that are so rare they might as well give up on the idea of working at home.
My suggestion to them is to find work in areas that are hiring. There are many companies looking for home-based employees to do work that doesn't necessarily require a great deal of experience or education. So why not go after these jobs?

Qld stamp duty cut for first home buyers
Stamp duty for Queenslanders buying or building their first home will be slashed to zero on some properties under laws coming into force on Monday.
The state government said that from January 1, first home buyers who purchase an existing home valued up to $320,000, or vacant land up to $150,000, to build their first home, will not pay any stamp duty.
First home buyers will also pay less stamp duty on homes valued between $320,000 and $460,000 or on a vacant block of land valued between $150,000 and $300,000.
The stamp duty-free threshold has also been increased from $250,000 to $320,000 on existing homes in recognition of the rise in house prices.
Queensland businesses and investors also will save more than $30 million each year from January 1 as two more state taxes are abolished.

Careful who you work for says backpacker
A Slovakian backpacker who says he worked for three days for a contractor who now refuses to pay him wants to warn other travellers to be careful who they work for.
The man, who wanted to be known only as Brian because he was working at the time without a work permit, said he was owed about $200 for work lifting wires on a vineyard.
He said he felt he understood his instructions, but after his first day of work was told to do the job a different way.
He felt he was given conflicting instructions and after three days when he was told again to re-do his work he decided not to return to the job.
When he asked for the money, the employer said she wouldn't pay because he did a poor job.
"I don't feel sorry for the job because she didn't supervise us," Brian said.
NAMIBIAN FAMILY TURNS FARM INTO SANCTUARY
For a few cents and a piece of bread, Marieta van der Merwe persuaded a man on a dusty Namibian road to give her the thin vervet monkey he held by a rope around its neck.
That was 28 years ago and the start of one of the largest animal rehabilitation farms in southern Africa.
The Harnas Wildlife Foundation in Gobabis, 180 miles east of the capital Windhoek, is home to 310 orphaned animals and offers visitors a unique chance to get close enough to touch, brush or even walk cheetahs, leopards and lions.
Namibia, a largely desert country with a population of 2 million, has such an abundance of game and wildlife that often cheetahs and baboons are regarded as nuisances by farmers and shot.
Most of the animals at the Harnas farm, which boasts Angelina Jolie as its patron, were rescued when they were young and hand-reared.
